"I wrote this book for those who have already come through the recognition – who know that something inside them has changed, who may have already grieved what has ended – and who are now standing before the question: what now?
Across more than eight thousand sessions, I have observed that starting over is never a single moment of decision. It is a long, often invisible, inner labor. Many believe that deciding is enough, and that everything else will simply follow. Others believe the exact opposite: that until they fully understand their past, they cannot move forward at all. Both paths can be true, and both come with their own cost.
This book is about what happens between the decision and the actual change – why it's so hard to begin, even when we know exactly what we should do; what unfolds inside us during the invisible time of waiting; and how a decision finally becomes a lasting, real life.
I don't promise a quick fix. But I promise that you will understand why this depends on you far less than you've believed so far – and that this very recognition is what will set you in motion."
